Cyberstalking

Unlike when they’re meeting someone face-to-face, children don’t always know who they’re actually ‘talking’ to online, even if they think they do.

This makes it easy for someone who may want to hurt your child, to pretend they are someone else and become their 'friend'.

Tell your children they must never email, chat, or text with strangers and it’s never OK to meet a stranger in the real world.

Whoever they see or meet online is still a stranger, no matter how often they see them online.
